Ingenium (formerly Rail Planning Services) was founded in 2009, when a group of innovative engineers joined forces to combine their talents and decades of transport expertise. Over the years, our deep knowledge and impeccable reputation in rail resulted in successfully delivering some of the most complex brownfield projects in Australia.
Since then, our teams’ expertise and capability have grown beyond rail to offer integrated solutions across the infrastructure spectrum. In 2024, we changed our name to Ingenium, to reflect our broader offering and high-value services.
Our name, Ingenium, pays homage to our foundation engineering expertise. Drawn from the Latin word meaning ‘clever device, talent, innate quality and character,’ it’s our way of recognising our people’s natural strengths and drive to strengthen, build confidence and engineer connections to empower the future.
