HumeLink is one of the state’s largest energy infrastructure projects, involving the construction of 365km of 500kV transmission line and multiple new or upgraded substations. HumeLink will deliver a more reliable and more sustainable grid and generate major benefits for local communities along the route.
HumeLink West involves the expansion of the existing Wagga Wagga 330kV substation, the design and construction of a new substation at Gugaa and connection works to the future Maragle 500 kV substation. The project also includes a new 500 kV double circuit transmission line to connect the substations at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink East.
Ingenium has been assisting UGL’s Transmission Line Design Team on HumeLink West by providing interface management between engineering disciplines, including the electrical, civil and structural design teams, for various design packages including electrical, structures, foundations and line design.
