The Ingenium team was proud to join industry and community leaders at Novotel Northbeach for an event focused on innovation, collaboration, and the future of manufacturing in the Illawarra.
We kicked off with MC Kate McIlwain and a warm welcome from Alison Byrnes MP, followed by a powerful keynote from David Scott, GM Manufacturing at BlueScope.
A standout panelβfeaturing Michael Yiend, Megan Wheeldon, Justin Reed, Shannon Ballard, and David Scottβshared deep insights on the challenges and opportunities ahead across manufacturing, energy, and major projects.
The timing couldnβt have been better, aligning with the public release of a rezoning proposal for 200 hectares of non-operational land at BlueScopeβs Port Kembla siteβset to become the worldβs largest industrial land transformation project. This visionary plan could unlock up to 30,000 local jobs and fuel sustainable economic growth in the region for generations.
The morning wrapped up with vibrant networking in the Expo areaβenergised by the momentum of whatβs to come.
