Scott Warren advised the NSW Department of Education and Office of the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education on media engagement, issues management and community relations related to the delivery of new schools, major upgrades and operational asset management.

The 21-month project commenced with the election of the new Labor government in NSW and culminated in the machinery of government changes it carried out within the Department of Education.

As part of the project, Scott was the NSW Government’s spokesperson for the decision to demolish affected Willyama High School in Broken Hill and led the media and community interface for schools affected by asbestos-contaminated garden mulch in early 2024.

Scott’s engagement with the Department also included a streamlining of departmental media and communications teams to deliver savings that can be redirected to school operations, including change management services.
